Last Christmas

Hello everyone! My Christmas was boring from midnight up to seven in the morning. I have all the reasons to get bored though. I was at work! LOL! Anyway, I had a wonderful Christmas celebration with my husband of course. Early morning, I open my giftSSSSSsssss...hehehe! Then, I gave his presents too. His two gifts did not arrive on time. I know he will love it! I took pictures of my gifts but, its in my blackberry phone. I do not have time to synchronize it in my PC. I sent some pictures to my email but, I get tired of sending it that way. For all those who visited my blogs, thank you. I appreciate it so much! Happy New Year to all!

Merry Christmas

I just got home from work and I am having a wonderful time today. I gave simple gifts to my co-workers, eight of them in my department and glad they like it. When I arrived home, me and hubby open our gifts to each other. I guess I have 6 gifts from him including the Blackberry 9700. I gave him 3 but, the two electronics did not arrive by mail. I ordered it online. I gave him an XM Satellite Radio, He loves it dearly. Dad is asleep so, he will open his gifts later. How was your day so far? Great I know! A Christmas Gift

I know how to play guitar since elementary because I love to listen to music. My cousins who lived with us always play music on the radio and I get used to it. One day, they brought guitar and started a singing session. I just watched them play the guitar and I would sing with them too. When they are not using it, I tried to sneak around and play it with the help of a guitar chords guide. That was the start and strumming the guitar is just one of my hobbies as I grew up. The best way to learn guitar is constant practice. My husband saw my enthusiasm whenever I saw it on display. He first noticed it when we were in Hard Rock as I took pictures in all the display at the lobby. I was just delighted to see the real guitar of the famous artist like the Bee Gees. My husband bought me a new guitar as one of my Christmas presents. He told me in advance because he ordered it online and it is on the way for delivery. I was so excited knowing that I have an acoustic guitar soon. This Christmas gift reminds me of my happy childhood memories.

Walmart is my favorite shopping store and I was waiting for a good deal of iPhone and I was able to find it here. Charice Sang Sharon Medley

I am a fan of Sharon Cuneta in fact when I was in High School, I became a President in a Sharon-Gabby Fan Club in Cagayan de Oro City under DXCL Station. Wheww! Those were the days that my inspiration in studies molded with music, Sharon Cuneta, Lea Salonga, Menudo and Walt Disney. I had a smile on my face right now reminiscing those moments of my life. Fogs in Ocean Springs

After work, the road on the way home look like the pictures below. What time was these pictures taken? It's 7:35 in the morning in Biloxi and Ocean Springs, Mississippi. Yesterday, the rain was pouring hard with strong thunder. It was really scary when we were on the bridge because the lighting was bad. We can't see the Isle Casino or the Palace Casino from the foot of the bridge.

Nearby places had a flood warning but thankfully, everything was alright. Morning comes, heavy fogs. Oh by the way, how bad was it last night? Pretty bad! You can't see the road because the rain will really blinded you. So, my husband decided that we will drive slow but, there were few cars zooming passed us. As if no mishap could happen to them. Unluckily, 1 car turn right and dive into the canal, probably miscalculated the turn. The canal was probably 3ft. high and I saw a person inside still, can't get out. I dialed 911 and my husband reported the incident to the dispatcher. We had no time to stop really. The traffic is heavy, rain is pouring hard and all we could do was call. In less than 3 minutes, we saw an ambulance and police cars rushing towards the area. The person was alright, we guess. The rescue was fast and by the time my husband drove back, the car was pulled from the canal already. The incident happened across the street of Ocean Springs Hospital anyway.

Then 6 blocks away, another car submerged in the canal. There was nobody on it and we bet, the accident happened earlier. That was our enduring journey last night on my way to work.
In the morning, wearing my Saints Jersey here (blurred), I enjoyed the fogs. Cold? Not at all! I wonder why it was not cold?HMMM.
The pictures looks like night time, right? According to the forecast, in the afternoon there will be heavy rain and it did! Nasty Rain.

My Friends

My friend Sigrid, at far left sent me this photo that we have more than 10 years ago, LOL. She is one of my closest friends. OMG! Look at the picture, we were so innocent and free, just having a good vacation at Camiguin Island, Philippines. This is an Old Spanish Church called Gui-ob Church Ruins located in Catarman, Camiguin Island in the Philippines. In 1871, Mt. Vulcan erupted and only the walls of the church remain as a reminder of the devastating volcanic eruption.

My Favorite Pastime

Another Thursday to celebrate for Girls Talk! Now, I can update my blog hopping. Of course, I did not finish blog hopping yesterday but, I still have time today to make everything done! Here is what I have to accomplish first, tadaaa!

My favorite pastime lately is Sleeping. I know, but you can't blame me,LOL. I have been adjusting for the last three months having a class and a job at the same time. I have this kind of schedule when I took my Masters Degree at Xavier University and at the same time teaching in a Public School. The only difference this time was, this is my first class attendance in the US and I have a night shift work. That is why, you can't pull me away from the comfort of my "hug-able" pillow and bouncing bed huh, LOL.

Despite of the busy schedule, Blogging is the next on the list. I can not live without it. Of course, aside from having the MONEY in blogging, I met friends who are always there to inspire me and gives me laughter each day. Blogging is a powerful tool that gives me freedom of expression. I know, you all feel the same way.

Watching TV is another pastime that I can not live with out. Sorry folks, I am an avid fan of FOX NEWS. But, I do watch Good Morning Joe, how's that?

Singing and Reading books are the pastime that I can not do anymore and I truly missed it.

Roger Daltrey at Hard Rock in Biloxi

Roger Daltrey of the WHO had a concert last Saturday, October 24,2009 at Hard Rock in Biloxi. The ticket was worth $89 but, it was given for FREE for my Father-in-law. I watched the concert with my pretty niece and we had a good time listening to his music. The show lasted for less than two hours and we also enjoyed watching the drunk ladies who are "into" the show. Honestly, I am only familiarized with five songs and that includes the C.S.I. theme songs. I took this picture using my cellphone. We are actually near the stage but, we choose to stay in our area. If it would be our favorite singer, we could have been screaming to death.

Without Your Love is a popular song in the 80's. This is one of the songs that I am familiar with. I am sure, you are familiar with this song too. Actually, this is one of my favorite old songs and I was glad to watch the singer of this song LIVE on stage.

This is the CSI theme song which Roger Daltrey sang. I would never know that it was him who sang this opening CSI song until I research about this artist. He was so popular that is why his ticket was so expensive.

This was the view at 7:30 A.M. outside my workplace when I log out. I kept complaining with the summer heat right? Here I am enjoying the weather.

Expensive Original Jersey

Last Sunday, I slept the whole morning because I was so exhausted from my night shift work. We are allowed to wear Jersey in my workplace in support of the National Football League season. Give Honor to the Fallen Hero

The funeral for Lance Cpl. Christopher Fowlkes, 20 years old was held last Friday in downtown Gaffney, South Carolina. Fowlkes was critically wounded in Afghanistan after an IED struck an armored vehicle that he and his company were riding in. The residents lined the streets in celebration of the young Marine’s life. The motorcycle riders led the way as the young man was led to his final resting place. The bells tolled and there was a moment of silence for him. September 18, 2009 was declared by the Cherokee County Council as Lance Cpl. Christopher S. Fowlkes Day in Cherokee County.

We should give this RESPECT and HONOR to anyone who died in combat right? BUT, guess what happened when Brenda Earls stick some flags along the path of the funeral procession? Of all the establishments there, BANK OF AMERICA pulled the flags in their premises. When Brenda Earls came back thinking she might had just missed it, the branch manager came out stopping her! Against Corporate Policy, she said.

It's really sickening! There were hundreds of clients closed their accounts in that branch after knowing what had occurred. It was ironic when the branch manager said that the FLAG might be OFFENSIVE to other customers. WE ARE IN THE US! How could OTHERS be offended upon seeing a US FLAG? When she pulled the flags on the ground, it was an act of dishonor and disrespect of the country.

When Larry di Rita, a spokesperson of Bank of America appeared on TV to apologize, I was glad. But, the TV apology is not enough! Bank of America should do something for that branch manager. Everyone makes mistakes but, people can be forgiving too. That branch manager should SAY SORRY and admit that she was wrong and confused of the banks policy!

Busy as an Ant

You must be wondering why I was off for 3 days right? I am so EXHAUSTED! I can not blog hop even if I wanted to. My body is so stiff and still adjusting for my graveyard schedule at work. Employees who work in the graveyard shift needs an APPLAUD really! They are like robot machines. Sometimes, the work kept you awake and there are times that the dragging hours can keep you sleepy.

Today, I met a Filipina who works for a swing shift and still has another job to report plus, have children to take care too. My heart goes out for her. I hope she will be blessed with GOOD HEALTH so she can perform the GOOD JOB always. Anyway, because of stress my migraine attack for two days. Good thing that today, I am okay. So, I can blog hop and see you in a bit. And yes, I missed paid post opportunities. No time to write even if I can reserved them. I am alright though. Busy Day Today

I woke up so early today and did my blog hopping because I had to report to a work related task at 10 AM. I thought it would only last for 3 hours but, I was wrong! That task ended at 4:30PM. I was so exhausted even if all we did was listen to the speaker's demonstration. I had a free lunch buffet with my manager, part of the activity and I had a good time joking around with my Jamaican companion. After the activity, I went to my class right away at 5:30 to 9:00 PM. Birthday Party

This is a birthday cake showing the SAINTS NFL decoration. The celebrant is a big fan of New Orleans Football Team and today, we watched the Saints won over the LIONS. Looks like a double celebration for us huh!

We had another party held in the house today and its the birthday of my brother-in-law. He is a Scottish and the little girl that I posted in BEYOND PHOTOGRAPHY is his daughter. We had a good time and all the family members were here. I can only share these pictures though. It was his little daughter who took these pictures. She was begging her daddy to pose for her.

We all wanted to hold the party and family gatherings here in the house of my father-in-law because the "king" of the house wanted it. This is my opinion though. I called my father-in-law KING, just teasing him, LOL. After all, he is the MAN of the house. If a party held in another venue, he will not come and have many excuses. Anyway, this set up is better for him. At 89, he will get tired easily.

Lovely Place

Did you know that this place is in Afghanistan? It was taken by a friend of mine who was assigned in Afghanistan two years ago. This is a military base, dawntime. Lovely place but, just a sad thought that the place is doomed. My friend was lucky to have his own internet connection in his little space.

The last time I had spoken with him was when they are on the way to a mission. I never heard of him since. I know he went back safely to the US and spent a vacation in Chatanooga, TN.

This is an exciting news for all the "American Idol" viewers, Ellen is the new judge. We will be missing Paula Abdul for sure but, Ellen is the best pick for that show. That is just my opinion. What do you think? She is fun. I love her show. I am so excited to see this year's American Idol.

Holiday Sweaters

Have you seen the movie of Renee Zellweger's Bridget Diary? Well, I was just reminded of the Ugly Sweaters worn by one of the leading men. It's embarrassing for them wearing Christmas Sweaters when their biggest crush is around. For them, it's humiliating to wear moose or scarecrow prints. Going Green

When my husband and I had our road trip I always took pictures of just anything that caught my attention. Pictures of nice places, green grass, tall trees, building and that includes houses with solar panels on the rooftop.

Photovoltaic Power Plant

Last 2005, I took a Teacher Training Program in Elementary Science sponsored by Department of Science and Technology and Department of Education, Culture and Sports. Part of the field trip that was so memorable for me was our visit to PHOTOVOLTAIC POWER PLANT in Cagayan de Oro City, Philippines.

On the Bridge

Traveling towards the city of Biloxi, Mississippi. I like this bridge. It connects two cities in Mississippi. On the left side, there is a spacious walkway for bridge walkers. It is very safe. I never tried to walk accross the bridge yet. They say, it was really beautiful. I really do not know if I can walk across and I won't dare also hehehe. I might try halfway at the highest point of the bridge just to take the pictures. I will be doing that activity during the cold season. Thanks for the visit friends.
