In the afternoon, we usually attend the "way of the cross procession" while some of my cousins were chosen as the Christ persona or the apostles. The procession is done on the streets of our place while every station, a short play is being performed to show the life of Jesus on the way to crucify Him. The procession starts in the church and ends up there too.
Good Friday is a yearly event to remind us that amidst the busy life that we had, we need to kneel down and pray. I am a sinner myself and I need to take a break and spend this day speaking to God in prayers in my own little way. Thanking God for the air that I breathe, for the good health that I enjoyed, for the food on the table, for the safety of my family and friends, for the blessings of life each day, for the waking moments, for the joy and happiness, for the laughters and for all the comforts of life....I thank God for all of these. Of course, I thank Him for the pains that I endure because it made me stronger as a person. I thank him for the tears I shed and for all the heartbreaking moment I experienced in life.
It doesn't hurt your ego if you give thanks to God, right now. Have a blessed Good Friday everyone!
