Hubby and I have 4 cellphone lines and a land line. I know what's on your mind, gadget wise? We are loaded and it is a waste of money since we really don't need those phones! My husband stick to his old Motorola phone and he gave me his Droid, a smart phone which he can't handle LOL! I want to get rid two of these phones though! Needed Another Vacation

I was thinking of going to the beach and stay in one of the beautiful cottages there. But, I still have so many pending tasks that needs to be taken care of. I have been procrastinating for so long and I know, I wasted too much of my time doing nothing. Maybe, a good vacation by the beach would help me get back on my feet. If only I can find a place like ribby hall lodges and spend a whole day enjoying services of women's stuff such body spa and body massage. Well, that will remain in my wish list this year though. Who knows it will really happen that I could enjoy a time pampering myself in a cozy way. Hubby keeps on looking at the cruise vacation packages too. Hoping we can have one before I go back to work anytime soon. Most of the employers will not allow their employees to have a vacation during holidays and important dates in the calendar year. I have been to that ordeal and I don't like it. I needed a vacation now before that thought will hit me soon.

Cove Marketplace at Cocoa

I have never been to Cocoa Area where The Cove Marketplace is open. Hubby and I had our lunch date for Valentines Day at Rusty's so, after having our hearty meal we decided to look around the marketplace.

The sun was shining but, the air was so chilly and I love this kind of weather here in Florida. Off we go to the Cove Marketplace and I noticed that there were only few booths. There were few tourists and they were not buying. The display were great and affordable. I love the display of paintings, I think they're great masterpieces!

Here are the booths and as you can see, there were few tourist that wanders around the area. Just by looking at this place, I guess business is not good today. Maybe because the people are off for romantic lunch or preparing for a nice dinner later. What do you think?

This is one of the booths with wonderful painting display. Well, I can't find the art work that would interest me so, I did not buy any. The place is nice but, because it's Valentines Day, people are not heading in this direction for shopping. I presumed that this place is crowded in some other days. That's just my guess!

Redecorating the House

I have found that redecorating the house is actually a great way to get my kids ready for school. It is also a great way for me to have an excuse to slurge a little and make the house look fabulous without worrying my husband! I love having my kids involved in every step of redecorating the house. With their help, my kids learn how to be responsible and focus on finishing a single task, which are important skills for school.

I have taught my kids so many life skills through the act of redecorating the house. For example, my kids get to boost their creativity in helping me choose which colors to paint the house. In addition, I let my kids choose which colors they want their room painted. It is so fun to see how excited my kids get when they see the finished product. If I leave the house for the home decor store, I am sure to set the home security alarm from Home alarm systems cellguard. There is no need for problems while we are out of the house!

Redecorating the house is a great way to engage kids on an adult level. My kids feel so respected when I let them help with this huge task. This makes them feel more confident to finish the rest of the school year and I am so proud of them!

Business Down

Our favorite resto in Ocean Springs in the harbor area is Harbor Landing. I love their food especially the spicy kickers, actually I forgot the exact name LOL! Anyway, the city wanted it back because according to them, it is not in the right zone. The city gave Harbor Landing the permission to do the business in this area but, later the city revoke it. Lately, we found out that the state bought the property for three million which I doubt, the owner will get something for him as a return of investment.

I was wondering what will happen to their workers. In this bad economy? Another problem to hurdle, I guess!

Home Property

Today, hubby and I were ready by 2 PM as our realtor was excited to meet us once again after the success of our home buying experience last September. Just like the amazing place of Rancho Santa Fe, Florida suffered a devastating crash that hurts the housing market. We thought of buying one more property as an investment. This is the right time to grab the opportunity of buying a property that we can afford. Actually, you will be surprise how these properties dived down rock bottom. There are so many shortsale and foreclosure properties and I can't imagine how the former home owners had gone through to save their properties. In fact, the former owner of the property that we bought lost almost $200K and yet it was foreclosed in the end. It's like a domino effect! Housing market is good for home buyers and if you are a seller, you could only demand according to the offers of the buyers. We knew this for a fact because our property in Mississippi has been in the market since August.

Short Sale Property

We just bought our first condo property and the experience of home buying is thrilling and tiring. It is very stressful yet fun. The excitement of becoming a home owner is adrenalin pounding and there were moments that we wanted to quit when our offers were declined. Then, we learn the strategy of making a nice offer to the seller. All in all, the experience taught us to pursue what we want and persevere the odds that gets on our way. Right at this moment, we are settled in our two bedroom and two bath condo. We love our place and we don't regret to have this property as our own.

The next project is to find another house or a condo and we consider any short sale on the list. There are pros and cons when buying this type of property. It is a property listed in real estate on which the borrower cannot pay the mortgage and the lender sells the property at a moderate price thus the borrower can avoid foreclosure. For the buyers view, a shortsale property is a bigtime luck because the price is usually LOW but, if the borrower/owner decided not to sell the property because they finally resolved the financial issues to their lender, the buyer ends up losing their hopes and will then be discourage to pursue another shortsale property.

Knowing this fact, we are ready to consider the short sale property. We are not on the rush to buying a property so, if it would take a year of waiting, we are alright with that. Tomorrow is day 1 of finding our next property. Wish us luck guys.

A Prison Facility

Today, hubby and I went to a prison facility to visit someone. It is my first time to go inside and observed the inside activity. My idea of a place like this is that it is extremely dangerous, the inmates will be intimidating, they will wear orange dress code or stripes. I was thinking that it will be like what we saw in the movie.

The whole experience of visiting someone was nothing like that. Since the place that we visited is not the maximum facility, I had a positive experience. First, we need to set up/inform the place that we would like to visit someone. There is a background check and it is up to them to approve you or not.

In most activities that I have, I usually read the rules and follow them. We arrived on time before the head count. We fill up the paper and gave our ID's. You can't give anything to them but, you can buy them something from the machine. The prices were a bit too high though. If you plan to give money, you can send it money order to their account. They will use it to buy the things they need in the commissary.

We stayed for four hours and we talk so many things about the life inside the prison. I observed that they wore the dress code when they have visitors and they look neat! It was the same design when I work as a teacher back home. I can recall that the same style we wore on a Thursday :-) Anyway, they look so good. You can't tell that they are inmates. In fact, they were never address the people inside as inmates.

Each one has a job to do. They were being paid but a rock bottom pay which is good for that moment while they serve their time. They have activities and they learn so many skills while living inside. The people in this facility didn't commit heinous crimes. They are good people who committed wrong decision punishable by law!

I saw that they are so overwhelmed with happiness seeing them with their family especially when their kids were there. You'll see tears of joy! My experience today taught me to embrace my freedom, respect the law and live as a law-abiding citizen. I pray for those people who are unlawful to change their life to a better person, direct their lives towards God and abide the law. May they will have a prayerful heart!

Job Hunt

I was jobless since July last year because I resigned voluntarily. What are my reasons? We moved back to Florida, the state which I love so dearly. I was planning to enrol but, when we finally moved back, I was late during the enrolment. Hubby and I decided that I will just rest for few months and have a vacation to my homeland-the Philippines. Boy! I was so glad to have a 3months vacation! It was not enough though! But, nevertheless I enjoyed to have spent a time for myself and my family back home. Job Hunting is my goal this month! I am not in a hurry though because I want to start my driving lessons as soon as possible. Plus, to go back to school is a priority! God's will, I will finish these tasks, hopefully!

Message in a Bottle

I watched this movie many times and yet, I shed tears everytime. This movie is about how the newspaper researcher Theresa Osborne portrayed by Robin Wright Penn entwined with the life story of Garret Blake portrayed by Kevin Costner. Theresa found a letter in a bottle penned by a grieving shipbuilder Garret Blake. Garret writes to ease the pain of his wife's death. It was extra ordinary that fate has led their path to each other.

When Osborne traced Blake"s hometown, they were attracted to each other for a short time. Blake was a denial to himself beacuse he loved his wife all his life. A Haunted House or Not?

Have you been to a haunted house? If I have to choose, I will never try to be inside a haunted house. Not in this lifetime :) for a simple reason....I am scared with the unknown and supernatural beings! In college, I have a Philippine Studies subject and we studied about all those "other beings" and I believe they exist! I don't need to fathomed their existence.

Anyway, this house is built in 17th century (1858) and the present owner whom I knew them personally said that their house is haunted. The kids said that they experienced unexplained phenomena. They even invited us to visit them and live one night with them. Shall I dare?
